Financial Inclusion to foster Energy Decentralization Process (National Conference of Sa-Dhan)

Lighting Asia/India II: Praveen Kumar, IFC Consultant, participated in a panel discussion on “Financial Inclusion to foster Energy Decentralization Process” and shared IFC’s experience from its Lighting Asia/India program, at the 15th  National Conference of Sa-Dhan (an association of Community Development Finance Institutions in India) on 16th September 2019 at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.  The Conference marked two decades of Sa-Dhan. The Conference aimed to provide stakeholders a platform to deliberate on specific sectoral concerns and challenges. The conference focused on building partnerships between Regulators, Investors and Bankers on the one hand; and Clients, Microfinance Institutions and Academicians on the other hand.   The Conference also provided insights that can shape the future work agenda and action plan keeping a focus on various aspects to both widen and deepen the scale of financial inclusion in the country. Professor Muhammad Yunus, Noble Peace Laureate 2006, Founder, Grameen Bank will be the Chief Guest of the most sought after event of financial inclusion.
