Lighting Pakistan, its distribution associate SRE Solutions, and SRE solutionsâ€™ channel partner Tameer Bank organized a staff recognition and training event in Sahiwal on April 23, 2016. The event was designed to recognize high performers and train sales staff of Tameer Bank and SRE Solutions from the Okara region. Since December last year when SRE Solutions partnered with Tameer Bank to pilot solar microfinance bundling, Okara region has seen the most success and currently accounts for 70% of the total sales of SRESolutionsâ€™s solar task lights, ovPilot X, in Pakistan.
Tameer Microfinance Bankâ€™s Area Head for Okara region, Naeem Abbas, welcomed the participants, lauded their sales performance, and assured them of full management support to deliver on future targets. He appreciated Lighting Pakistanâ€™s efforts to develop a sustainable ecosystem for high-quality solar products in the country. Naeem urged the Tameer Bank staff to make maximum use of SRE Solutionsâ€™ ongoing support and training in order to enhance customer experience.
Lighting Pakistanâ€™s Marketing Consultant, Syed Hasnat Masood,talked about the seriousness of the energy crisis in Pakistan and the importance of quality-verified solar solutions to distressed households. He said, â€œClose to 144 million Pakistanis are either unserved or underserved by the power grid,and 80% of them are not satisfied with their current lighting options â€“ mostly kerosene, candles, and torches.
Lighting Pakistan is working closely with its associates like SRE Solutions to help them evolve business models that offer high quality solar products to such deprived communities on a sustainable, commercial basis.â€
He added, â€œPartnerships such as the one SRE solutions and Tameer Bank have developed are key to making solar work in Pakistan.â€
COO SRE Solutions, Ahmer Ali, explained the companyâ€™s future strategy, with special emphasis on new products lines and staff incentivization.
He told the audience that SRE solutions and Tameer Bank would soon enhance the solar financing portfolio by introducing a solar home system and extending it to Tameerâ€™s loans.
Ahmer introduced a comprehensive incentive program addressing all bank staff involved in the sales process of SRE Solutionâ€™s solar products.Â Ahmer congratulated the high performers on their achievements and hoped to see similar performance in other regions as well.
Ahmer carried out an interactive training session on product features, after-sales, and customer journey with the help of the eventâ€™s moderator and famous TV anchorperson, Dr. Muzna.
The event, which was attended by 200+ staff from Tameer Bank and SRE Solutions, ended with dinner and music.
